Christian Mukes was born into a family of cooks and perfectionists who ran a local barbeque catering business for many years. While working the family owned business, Christian was taught by her grandmother to design catering display, create ribbons, setup formal table settings, and of course, serve. While doing this, Christian began to decorate reception venues and the catering area. After the exposure, over the years, Christian developed a love for planning events. Maybe it was the attention to the finer details, the perfection of symmetrical event décor, or simply just the passion for making memories last a lifetime that brought Christian to the wonderful world of event planning.
During Christian’s collegiate years, she was very active and involved in planning and implementing events on the college campus. Shortly after, she began her career in the event planning business. During Christian’s first official employment after college, she was responsible for planning community-wide events for the local governmental agency. This provided her with opportunities to work with state elected officials and celebrities. Thereafter, Christian began a career for one of the largest non-profit organizations in Houston, TX where she planned and coordinated several community events which she developed her experience in fundraising and budget management.
In 2009, Christian founded Unique Interactions Event Planning & Consulting. Christian is now a Certified Event & Wedding Planner (CEP) with over 12 years of experience in event & wedding planning, fundraising, budget management, and coordination services. Her level of expertise has been displayed at events implemented within the collegiate setting, local government, non-profit, community, and individually-focused. Since then, she has traveled the world planning weddings. Christian loves to dream up ideas and have “A-ha!” moments and will put forth every effort to be sure each client is satisfied, which is how she became an “Eventaholic”.
