Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Mukes.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
As a young girl, my family owned a barbecue restaurant providing catering, table setup and event decorating. After many years of assisting with the creative side of things, I became very crafty. Years later, during my undergraduate years, I was responsible for planning events for residents who lived on campus. I believe my creativity and event planning skills landed me employment opportunities with the local government and non-profit organizations. At that moment, after planning several events, such as community events, conferences, workshops, health fairs, sponsorship events, I became interested in starting my own business planning events. I began to prepare as if I was already in business, researching, studying and even received training in which I later became a Certified Event Planner. Thereafter, in 2012, the concept of Unique Interactions Events was developed.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Being in the event planning business has not been a smooth road. I’ve faced obstacles in dealing with difficult clients, their relatives, etc. On the opposite end, I’ve been highly trained which allowed me to utilize skills learned to overcome challenges as such.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Unique Interactions Events – what should we know?
Unique Interactions Events is a full-service event planning business that provides high-quality services to every client. Our services include the planning of all types of events: weddings, parties, showers, corporate events, professional training, and more. Unique Interactions is well known for budget management and I have yet to meet a person who doesn’t like to save money and get the most bang for their buck.
What sets Unique Interactions apart from other event planners is that services are offered with a “precise and exquisite attraction”.
The biggest accomplishment thus far for Unique Interactions, is being featured on people.com for an amazing wedding we planned and being selected for the 2018 Couples Choice Award with Wedding Wire.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
As the owner of Unique Interactions, I must say that I can’t take all of the credit. Our success is in part due to Team Unique Interactions which includes support from the individuals who have been with the company since day one. To add, our unique clients are our reason why we do what we do. When working with clients for a period of time, you tend to develop a relationship and at that point, we then consider ourselves “unique family”. Our clients rehire us for many of their events and send referrals which helps us continue to provide our expertise to other clients. I can’t leave out our supporters: family, friends, vendors and other business partnership groups who provide many referrals as well. This type of support is what keeps us in business and makes it all worth it!
